DISNEY Mickey Mouse FANTASIA Limited edition etching print CERTIFICATED & FRAMED. Size: 7 3/8″x7 3/8″. Image: 2 3/4″x2 3/4″. Frame Size 14″ x 14″. This hand-colored etching of Disney’s critically acclaimed Fantasia featuring Mickey Mouse as the Sorcerer’s Apprentice was created in 2004. The strikingly designed etching was signed in pencil, lower center and numbered. From the first version numbered proofs of 2500. Each etching has a unique variation. Three states, or versions, exist of this work. Each of these states is a slight variation in order to highlight the animation process. This original hand painted etching was created with a steel engraving needle, scratched by the artist into a varnish covered zine or copper plate. In an acid bath, the etch is created to the desired depth. Following completion of the etch process, the plate is cleaned and hand inked. The printing is then done with a hand driven printing press on wet handmade paper. After drying, the etchings are lovingly hand colored and watercolored. The etching comes with a certificate of authenticity.

This Walt Disney limited edition pin set is limited to 2500, with 250 artist proofs. A Walt Disney Company model sheet is what animators used to help bring the characters to life. This limited edition pin set entitled “Mickey and Minnie model sheets” was inspired by various Mickey and Minnie model sheets used by Walt Disney animators through the years. The techniques used in the production of this addition and the proof there are proof by the Walt Disney company. Packaged and exclusively produced by the Walt Disney Company in 1999 it is a great piece to add to any collection. This is number 469 out of 2500. NOTE THIS IS A RARE AUTHENTICITY MISPRINT WHICH STATES THERE ARE ONLY 2000 PROOFS PRODUCED, WHEN IN FACT THERE ARE 2500. Comes in its original gold frame and measures approx 16″h x 18.25″ w. The area of the model sheet itself is approx 8.5″ h x 11″ w. Please note that all items are in working condition unless otherwise stated in the listing (above).
