THE LUNCH BOX IS IN OVERALL EXCELLENT CONDITION WITH MINIMAL COSMETIC AND/OR CONSTRUCTION DISTRACTIONS(MOSTLY PAINT RUB TO BOX EDGES). THIS BEAUTIFULLY LITHOGRAPHED TIN LUNCH BOX WITH THERMOS WAS MANUFACTURED FOR DISNEY BY THE ADCO-LIBERTY CO. THE LUNCH BOX MEASURES APPROXIMATELY 8 3/4″ WIDE X 6 5/8″ TALL (NOT INCLUDING HANDLE) X 3 3/4 THICK. THE LUNCH BOX COMES WITH A VERY. ROUND SHAPED “MICKEY FIGURAL” EMBOSSED METAL BASED MEDALLION. THE MEDALLION IS LOCATED UNDER THE “HEAVY METAL” HANDLE ON SIDE UNDER THE SAME. THE BOX’S HANDLE ASSEMBLY IS MADE OF HEAVY TIN. THE INSIDE OF THE BOX STILL HAS THE ORIGINAL HINGED TIN HOLDER BRACKET SET FOR THE THERMOS BOTTLE TO REST UNDER. The SCARCITY of the BOTTLE and BOX is perhaps because shortly after this set went into production, ADCO LOST its licensing rights to DISNEY and. THE THERMOS MEASURES APPROXIMATELY 2 5/8″ D X 8 1/4″ TALL. THE THERMOS SET, EXCEPT FOR THE RED PLASTIC DRINKING CUP, IS IN OVERALL VERY GOOD CONDITION WITH MINOR COSMETIC AND/OR CONSTRUCTION DISTRACTIONS(MOSTLY SOME SPOTS OF GRAPHIC LOSS AROUND THE BASE OF THE THERMOS). THE RED DRINKING CUP IS STUCK BEING TIGHTLY ATTACHED TO THE STEEL NOSE CONE. I TRIED TO SEPARATE THE TWO, BUT NO LUCK. I ONLY TRIED TO SEPARATE THE TWO PIECES BY PHYSICALLY TWISTING THE SAME. I THINK THAT THE 2 PIECES COULD BE SEPARATED BY SOAKING THE SAME IN WARM SOAPY WATER OR ANOTHER SIMILAR METHOD, BUT I WILL LEAVE THAT PROCESS DECISION UP TO THE NEW OWNER OF THE SET. THE STEEL NOSE CONE STILL SCREWS DOWN ON THE THERMOS BASE PROPERLY AS IF THE DRINKING CUP WAS NOT STUNK ON TOP OF THE SAME. THE FLAT AREA ON TOP OF THE PLASTIC CUP HAS SOME CRACKING. THE CRACKING WAS PROBABLY CAUSED BY THE CUP BEING PUSHED DOWN AROUND THE STEEL CONE SO HARD. ALL OF THE PLASTIC ON THE TOP OF THE CUP IS STILL IN PLACE AND COULD BE PROPERLY GLUE REINFORCED ONCE IT IS REMOVED FROM THE STEEL CONE. THE THERMOS CAME WITH A STANDARD CORK TO BE USED AS A STOPPER. THE CORK FOR THIS BOTTLE IS LONG GONE AS MOST ARE. A GENERIC REPLACEMENT SHOULD BE PRETTY EASY TO FIND. I’M ENCLOSING A PHOTO REFERENCE OF WHAT THE ORIGINAL CORK LOOKED LIKE.
