For sale is a limited-edition sericel depicting many of Walt Disney’s most beloved characters, including Mickey Mouse, Snow White, Dumbo and Tinker Bell. The sericel edition, “Walt Disney’s 100 Years of Magic, ” features Walt Disney strolling through the portals of Disneyland Parks Sleeping Beauty Castle, surrounded by 64 world-famous Disney characters from animated productions that span Walt’s remarkable career. “Walt’s 100 Years of Magic” is a celebration of the centennial of the man whose very name is synonymous with fun, laughter and enchantment. These character images were created using the fine art screen-printing process of color reproduction known as serigraphy. Artists at the Walt Disney Studio’s Ink & Paint Department specially created a hand-inked, hand-painted animation cel which was used as reference in the production of these limited sericels. 66 colors, an unprecedented amount for a Disney sericel, were exactingly printed, one color at a time, onto each cel. The lithographic background is a reproduction of the historic black-and-white photograph of Walt Disney. This impressive framed piece is individually numbered #2 of 1000 and includes the origin al certificate of authenticity and character legend.
