RARE 1950s J CHEIN & CO MICKEY MOUSE DISNEY FERRIS WHEEL WIND UP TIN LITHOGRAPH. Here we have a rare find–classic mechanical ferris wheel by J. Chein & Co from the 1950s. All tin lithograph construction with a long running spring wound motor. The six-spoke Ferris wheel features most of the Disney characters that were popular during the mid-1950’s. All six swinging cars are identical featuring children having a great time. A large Mickey portrait replaced the winking smiling face hub found on the famous Chein Hercules Ferris wheel toys. Structurally the Disneyland and Smiling Face Hercules Ferris wheels are identical. The toy revolves for a fairly long time with just one winding. As it turns a rotating red, white, and blue disk on the front above Mickey’s portrait strikes an adjacent bell. It’s in great working order as it, and all my tin toys up for sale, have been gone over by a professional tin toy doctor so it is coming to you in 100% working condition. This toy shows a small amount of rust and only some minor scratches near the ends on the base. The rest of this toy is in near mint condition. Measures 16 1/2 x 12 x 5 inches.
